Creating a project in fsckmsft takes under two minutes. Each project gets its own task board, document library, and automation workflows, so you can keep every initiative cleanly separated from the rest of your work.
Free plan workspaces are limited to 5 active projects. If you’ve reached the limit, archive an existing project or upgrade to Pro before creating a new one.
1

Click New Project

In the left sidebar, click the + New Project button near the top of the project list. Alternatively, open the command palette with Cmd+K and type Create project.A modal dialog opens with the project creation form.
2

Name your project

Type a name for your project in the Project name field. Choose something specific and descriptive — you’ll be searching for this name later.Optionally, add a short description in the Description field. This appears in project cards and search results, so a sentence or two helps teammates understand what the project is for at a glance.
3

Choose a template

Select a starting template for the project’s task structure:
TemplateBest for
BlankStarting from scratch with a custom workflow
KanbanVisual board with To Do, In Progress, and Done columns
ListA flat, priority-ordered task list
If your team consistently uses the same setup, the Kanban or List templates save you the time of building out columns and statuses manually. You can always rename or add columns after the project is created.
4

Set visibility

Choose who can see and access the project:
  • Private — Only you and members you explicitly invite can access the project.
  • Team — All members of your workspace can view the project; only invited members can edit.
  • Public — Anyone with the link can view the project, even without a fsckmsft account.
You can change visibility at any time from the project’s Settings tab.
5

Invite members

Add collaborators by typing their name or email address into the Invite members field. Select a role for each person:
  • Editor — Can create, update, and delete tasks and documents.
  • Commenter — Can view everything and leave comments, but cannot make changes.
  • Viewer — Read-only access.
Skip this step if you want to set up the project before involving others — you can invite members later from the project’s Members tab.
6

Create the project

Click Create Project. fsckmsft creates the project and opens it immediately in the main content area. Your new project also appears in the left sidebar under your project list.

What to Do Next
