Connecting Slack lets fsckmsft post notifications directly into your Slack channels, keeping your team informed without switching tabs. Once connected, you choose exactly which events fire alerts and which channels receive them — so the right people always see what matters.
Only a workspace admin can authorize the Slack integration. If you don’t have admin access, ask your workspace administrator to complete the steps below.

Connect your Slack workspace

1

Open Integrations in Settings

In fsckmsft, click your workspace name in the top-left corner, then select Settings. In the left sidebar, choose Integrations.
2

Find and open the Slack integration

Use the search bar or scroll to the Messaging section, then click the Slack tile. On the Slack integration page, click Connect Slack.
3

Authorize fsckmsft in Slack

You are redirected to Slack’s OAuth consent screen. Review the requested permissions — fsckmsft asks to post messages and read your channel list — then click Allow. Slack redirects you back to fsckmsft once authorization is complete.
You must be a Slack workspace admin or have permission to install apps. If your Slack workspace restricts app installations, you may need to submit an approval request through Slack first.
4

Configure notification channels

After authorization, the Channel Configuration panel appears. For each event category, select the Slack channel where fsckmsft should post:
Event categoryDefault channel suggestion
Project updates#project-updates
Mentions & comments#general or a team-specific channel
Workflow completions#notifications
Alerts & errors#alerts
Use the channel dropdown next to each event type to pick any public channel or private channel that fsckmsft has been invited to.
5

Choose which events trigger notifications

Toggle on the specific events you want Slack notifications for:
  • Project updates — a project’s status, due date, or owner changes
  • Mentions — someone @-mentions you or a team in a comment
  • Workflow completions — an automated workflow finishes running
  • Task assignments — a task is assigned or reassigned to you
  • Integration sync errors — a CRM or partner connector sync fails
Start with a narrow set of events and expand from there. Overly noisy channels cause teams to mute notifications entirely.
6

Test the connection

Click Send Test Message. fsckmsft posts a sample notification to the first configured channel. Confirm you see the message in Slack, then click Save Configuration.

What Slack notifications look like

Each fsckmsft notification in Slack includes:
  • The event type and a plain-language summary (e.g., “Project Alpha moved to In Review”)
  • The actor — the person or automation that triggered the event
  • A deep link back to the relevant item in fsckmsft so your team can act immediately

Manage or disconnect Slack

To update channels or toggle events, return to Settings → Integrations → Slack at any time. To remove the integration, click Disconnect and confirm. Disconnecting immediately stops all Slack notifications and revokes fsckmsft’s OAuth token from your Slack workspace.
