fsckmsft lets you export a complete copy of your workspace data at any time. Your data belongs to you — export it whenever you need it, for backup, migration, or compliance purposes.

What you can export

The export includes all data owned by your account or workspace:

Document content (rich text, embedded media references) is only available in JSON format. CSV exports include document metadata (title, created date, author) but not the full body content.

Choose your export format

  • JSON — the complete, structured representation of your workspace. Recommended for programmatic processing, migration to another platform, or archival. Includes all data types including full document content.
  • CSV — tabular data suitable for opening in spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Sheets). Best for auditing tasks, reviewing automation history, or sharing data with stakeholders who don’t need the full export.

How to request an export

Open Settings

Click your workspace name in the top-left corner of the app, then select Settings from the dropdown.

Navigate to Data & Privacy

In the left sidebar of Settings, click Data & Privacy.

Click 'Export Data'

Under the Export section, click the Export Data button.

Select your format

Choose JSON or CSV from the format selector. You can request one export in each format — they are generated independently.

Confirm the export request

Click Request Export to confirm. You’ll see a confirmation banner telling you the export has been queued.

Wait for the download link

Once the export is ready, we’ll send a download link to the email address associated with your account. For large workspaces, this can take up to 24 hours. Most exports for smaller workspaces are ready within a few minutes.

Download your export

Click the link in the email to download a .zip archive containing your export file. The download link is valid for 7 days — download the file before it expires.
Workspace Admins can export data for the entire workspace. Individual members can only export their own personal data unless granted Admin permissions.

Estimated export times

Export time depends on the size of your workspace:

You can only have one pending export request per format at a time. If you request a second export before the first one is delivered, the new request replaces the previous one and the queue timer resets.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The JSON export includes signed download URLs for all file attachments. These URLs expire after 7 days, matching the archive download window. Download and store the files separately if you need them long-term.
No. Once a workspace is permanently deleted (after the 30-day grace period), its data cannot be recovered or exported. Request your export before initiating account deletion.
The .zip archive is not password-protected by default. The download link is unique, time-limited, and sent only to your registered email address. If your organisation requires encrypted exports, contact support@fsckmsft.org.
